COMRADE COMMANDER,

The Soviet Navy has made significant strides in recent weeks, positioning ourselves to exploit NATO's vulnerabilities. As a result, the operational landscape has shifted. While our initial objective was to isolate Iceland and neutralize NATO's forward operations in the region, recent intelligence has led to a strategic reevaluation.
We have confirmed that the USS Nimitz, the flagship of the 8th carrier group and a key asset in NATO’s naval superiority, is currently concluding a resupply mission in Reykjavik and is preparing to depart towards the open Atlantic. This represents a critical opportunity. Although the Nimitz poses a formidable threat to our goals, its current positioning provides a rare window to strike a decisive blow to NATO's presence in the North Atlantic. Eliminating the Nimitz would not only cripple NATO's air capabilities but would also shift the balance of naval power in the region, potentially altering the strategic calculus in our
Your task is clear: Execute a focused strike to neutralize the USS Nimitz before it can fully depart into the open ocean. This action must be swift and decisive to capitalize on NATO’s current dispersion and minimize any potential reinforcement time.

The following units have been allocated to your command from the main Atlantic force:
A Kirov-class guided missile destroyer,
A Kara-class cruiser,
Two Krivak-class frigates,
Udaloy-class destroyer,
Two Kashin-class destroyers.

Additionally, we have two submarine assets in the vicinity:
Victor III-class submarine: Operating south of Iceland, this boat is currently under pursuit by NATO assets, but may provide useful should it lose its pursuers in time.
Project 675-class submarine: Positioned southeast of Reykjavik, this boat is unlikely to reach an interception point in time but may be called upon if circumstances change.
