Description
Strap in, Commander! Inspired by Chapter 21, "Nordic Hammer," from Tom Clancy's Red Storm Rising, this mission is critical. Using your fleet of B-52 bombers, F-4 Wild Weasels, and an EA-6 Prowler, you must take out Keflavik airbase before Ivan turns it into a fighter stronghold.

Intel says the skies are clear—for now. Strike fast, obliterate the target, and make it back to Greenland in one piece.

The clock is ticking—good luck, Commander!

Differences from the book:

POTENTIAL SPOILERS

In the book the soviets have managed to base MiG 29 Fulcrums on Keflavik, MiG 29's aren't in Sea Power yet so I have replaced them with MiG 28's instead.

The American B-52's were armed with powerful jamming radars which is not possible in Sea Power. You'll need to make good use of your Prowler instead!

Sorry just to clarify, are you MOVING the folders or genuinely copying them over to the streaming assets folder? And if this works, which I am glad to hear that it apparently does, would it not make more sense just to move every workshop download over to this folder just to ensure that they all work regardless of whether they are showing up in the menu or not?

Excellent work by the way, loving all these community missions!

For anyone not seeing the missions in the scenario editor:

This have happened to other mods as well, i wanna believe is some quirk between sea power and the workshop implementation, one way around it for now is to manually copy the mission folders from \steamapps\workshop\content\1286220\*mod folder* to \steamapps\common\Sea Power\Sea Power_Data\StreamingAssets\user\missions\user_missions

And for the while, i myself have deactivated the steamcloud saves, at the moment it appears it only saves user missions and do not delete it even if manually doing so with the result of having the user scenario in game extremely cluttered.

Hmm, I might need to replace the ini file. It's setup in exactly the same way as my other missions so I'm not sure why it isn't showing up.

I'll check the file again and make sure it's got the correct one on the Workshop. For now, look for a mission named 'custom mission' it might be reverting to that (despite me renaming it both in game and in the ini file)

Still cannot see Nordic Hammer. I have Demons and Returns loaded right after it.

The name error should now be fixed.

Sometimes the editor can be difficult, I'll try and force the name change again and create a new .ini if needs be

You named the scenario "_custom mission" in the .ini flie. This is the name that is shown in the scenario list. So I did not find it...

Okay, I have corrected an error I think I found in the way the folder was setup. Hopefully you can see it now. Please let me know if it's still not working and I'll look into it!

Yip, but it still does not show up...
SPARTANMST  [author] 20 Nov, 2024 @ 5:01am
@catplane have you enabled it in the mod loader?
