CSGO MP7 on default anims

Description
A quick mod I made some time ago. Now that Half-Life 2 has a Workshop, I'm sharing it here.

While the viewmodel is an MP7, the world model is that of a UMP45.

Note: this addon only changes the model. There are no sounds or HUD icons. The capacity is unchanged.

Model is from Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

It would, but I didn't bother looking for an animation set back then and just went with the defaults.

I think this would have been better as a total replacement for the SMG as the CS:GO UMP, but that's just my opinion. Keep on keeping on.

Again, the first person model is an MP7. Read the description and my previous reply.

The NPC animations are build to hold the MP5K, which was the beta SMG1. The final game keeps only the MP7, and its world model is awfully disfigured to fit the existing animations. Therefore, I would either have to deal with the awfully large and/or stretched MP7 model, or use a variant of an MP5 with a grip. In this case, a UMP with a grip perfectly fulfills that role as evident from the screenshots of NPCs holding the SMG.

You mod folks are working quickly. Half Life had a workshop for just a week, yet you are already on the ball.

It's no different from L4D2 model compiling, just with less features like layers and the attachments/effects aren't labeled with proper names, just numbers.
