IMPORTANT NOTE:

For the fix to work, you need to restart Half-Life 2!

Updated font size for the new Half-Life 2: Complete 2024. First i did it for the MINERVA: Metastasis workshop version, but also any mod works fine with this fix.

Fixes in-game text messages on Metastasis and also suitable for other mod maps

Just regarding MINERVA: Metastasis and as I understand other mods, the author intentionally reduced the font of the message from the Chapter Title and the text "Game saved..."

Since we used to play mods as separate games with their own configuration, so we did not notice these problems.

@Xenosaber22 , thank you, i'll look at them. As for the Half-Life 2 fonts, this is mostly a problem with the fact that the mods use the type of messages (subtitles), from the title of the game's chapters or a message like "Game saved..."

Initially, the font size of such messages is much larger, since they are extremely short. That is, I want to say that this is not a problem with the new Half-Life 2 font, it was there before, before the 20th anniversary update. I checked this by shoving Minerva into other Half-Life 2 games and the font there was just as BIG.

@Allower The beta aesthetics mod as well as a few others. The fonts size issue seems to be from half-life 2 itself as it accidentally loads the steam deck font and not the computer font.

@Xenosaber22 , thanks for your feedback, glad to hear that reducing the size of the new Half-Life 2 font helps not only MINERVA: Metastasis users.

What mods do you play? I'm interested to see them.
