MOD STATUS: CANCELLED (waiting for a remake)

You are "Gordon Freeman", a hitman who lives alone in an apartment and a cheap house that he uses as an office to receive clients.

One day he receives a strange letter, in which he says that he has a job for him. You will have to travel through a strange world to kill the new queen of Great Cat.

I was trying to make a port of Betrayed Heart to the workshop and... It didn't turn out as expected.

-The text of the Novel Mode didn't show as it should. (the rest of the text doesn't show sometimes)
-There's NO subtitles and i don't know why. (originally they have, here doesn't work)
-And for some reason the whole sound of the mod is with some reverb or something AND IDK HOW TO FIX THAT AAAAA

But it's still playable.

Still, it is more recommended to play the moddb version

idk what happen but i turned around after grabbing the baby doll and there was a silhouette figure and it kicked me back to the menu

funny mod, level design is simple but i think it should be like it be. And yes, i opened a folder that named "please do not open this" and got bruh. Also it feels like half of the mod content was not used or i didn't look at it forgetfully. By the way, i hope you don't mind that i used your work (photoshopped neсo pictures) and made avatar in steam and discord from them. I also posted it in my illustrations with a link to your mod, where I got the original idea from. I hope after some time you will start making chapter 3 :)

honestly really impressive
i found myself surprisingly invested in the plot and enjoyed all the various routes
great work :3 shame about chapter 3 but i understand cancelling it

Level design is honestly not great. Not only is it very blocky, but it is really bad at giving the player direction as to where to go or what they're doing, or what anything they've interacted with actually does.

I got stuck after obtaining the crowbar as i've got no idea what i'm supposed to do next, and tried mashing E on everything.

Half Life 2 Workshop doesn't currently support Subtitles, which is the reason for your lack of Subtitles. I've seen people report bugs with Game_Info_Text as well, which might be the cause of the Visual Novel Mode not working properly.
