With the decision to upgrade the ESDF ground forces arsenal due to the arrival of the factorum with a new series of vehicles based on a newer IFV chassis the ESDF high command and materials administration decided to refurbish the older CV100 Alpine light tanks turret and mount it on the newer Model-B+ chassis with some minor changes such as a removal of the adjustable deflection panels on the turret and this was both due to the performance of the older CV100 Alpines turret design but also to reduce cost of designing a completely new turret.
