Description
Now primed for an Apocalypse run!

Want a challenge greater than doing the math to figure how much water to store per beaver?
Water Beaver Overhaul Mod, on normal, is the real Hard Mode
Lemon Canyon is a map made by the WBO creator to highlight and encourage the mechanics of the overhaul, It kicked my flat, wide tail.
For the Penultimate WBO challenge try Lemon Canyon v1.08. Yall aint strong enough to play the version JC the Beard handles.
This is an alternate version. This map, edited with permission, is meant to give more options, require smaller stacks of Dam Houses and hint at arable land options. Water Cannons anyone?
Have fun. Custom settings* can take a run from Rage Quit to an Enjoyable Challenge.
*for reference: If you are new to the Water Beaver Overhaul, it is a power run if you have your first science by cycle 5 and a your first floodgagte dam by cycle 15.
Most asnswers to Water Beaver questions are in the billboards and tech tree board..

Map Intended for the WItepaw Faction.
To have the namesake Lemons and more, with any Timberborn faction, play with the More Plants! MapReader mod.
Edits meant to increase playability while still encourageing large Canyon spanning dams and other WBO mechanics. (as I understand them) Extensive list of map edits is mostly for the Mod creator in case I missed the point.
v2.0 Edit by Perpetual Newb
grouped map starting resources.
v2.1 minor terrain edits at map bottom.
v2.2 edit of upper terraces behind 3 seperat water sources, removed scrap, blockages and trees. Extended bad water mini channel. reduced top layer in spots around map.
v.2.3 terrain edit far side of big river. Big river bottom depth raised by source. Increased starting area shelf. Increased upper single watertiles x2, flow rate by .25. Added Baobab x2
v2.4 main canyon terrain changes. widen and terrace. Raised bad water submerged Underground ruins 1 level.
v2.5 and v2.6 further terracing of main canyon to encourage many dams without rendering mass areas flooded. Lowered mid river "dam" terrain
v2.6 reduced starting resources. Added an alternate starting area egress.
v 2.7 Canyon changes. reduced starting resources. +1 Baobab
v2.8 Moved 1st waterfall further downstream.
v2.9 Now with less flooding. (by mod and map maker request, turns out this was not an intended feature)
v3.0 Widened river and reduced the severity of the river turns. Edited the bypass closest to the water sources in the Canyon for simplicity and rapid bypass potential.
v3.01 Replaced missing slope. corrected typos here in map notes.
v3.1 Moved broken cart back 4 tiles. Made lower river less "Straight"
v3.2 More flood control. more terra forming and river widening. Opened aperature from the lemon grove. Replaced 3rd Baobab to be living tree. Apologies for the 4 wide river, but yer a clever beaver and will find the dam houses to fit. Re grouped starting resources.
3.3 even more flood control. Added Terrain hieght meet Mechanical Drill height requirement. once again adjusted starting resources.

V 4 Update for U6. Map Maker lost ability for Baobab, now zero on start. Moved the water source that feeds the namesake Lemon Canyon, to suggest other options than dumping bad water off side of map, yet that is stiull an option. Raised Terrain back up for more mechanical drill placement options. Dropped a few arches in.
v+ U6 compliant. Map change list is now on the Steam Workshop 'change notes' tab.

Updated to re-allow Apocalypse runs. Added more Mangrove, Kohlrabi and opened routes for paths at the very start of a run!

@wyatt Fixed it, No outside mod needed. In effort to make a ridge look more natural, i had 3 voxel too highj.

I was playing on this map the other day with no issues... today I get this. my current playthrough, 60 cycle ironteeth save is broken now.

it also happened on an empty, fresh start map.

1/7/25 Map Updated to accommodate the new Overdrive Reactor and game build height limits.
And added a classy amount of natural overhangs.

Make sure to get More Plants! Map Reader mod. This gives some extra and some new original assets on the map for any faction.
