Operation-Scale Invasion

Description
Take control of CSG Nimitz and ESG Belleau Wood for a comprehensive invasion of a small middle eastern country!

This is a large scale mission where the enemy is at a disadvantage in tech and numbers, but the challenge comes from needing to manage all aspects of the invasion. You'll need to plan ahead, manage your sorties, and degrade the enemy's ability to fight.

Recon the coast, plan your approach, destroy enemy surface and submarine units, suppress enemy air defense and anti ship batteries, and land marines in the capital city to win.

Includes basic randomization of spawned groups for replay value!

TIPS:
-You start with an E-2 and flight of F-14s in the air, but you'll want to supplement this with more aircraft. Currently, you can't launch and recover aircraft at the same time, so plan ahead so you don't need to launch while recovering aircraft.
-Layer your approach and tackle each problem incrementally. Destroy the enemy air force so your own strike aircraft can operate with more freedom, so you can neutralize the enemy air defense more safely, so you can destroy the enemy fleet more safely. Minimize risk to yourself!
-Keep a perimeter around your vessels, and engage threats BEFORE they enter this perimeter. Use your AWACs' radar to avoid the enemy ever detecting your vessels' emissions!
-The submarine threat is hard to detect and even harder to plan time around hunting while dealing with other tasks. Use your many helicopters to deploy and relay data from your sonobuoys (they need to be in range of a friendly unit to provide info!), and call in maritime patrol aircraft from RAFO Masirah to augment your carrier based patrol aircraft.
-Your own submarine is more useful as a sensor platform than a weapons platform, use its ESM mast to detect shore batteries and its towed array to find those quiet diesel-electric subs hiding under the layer!

I'm interested in hearing what you like about the mission, please let me know if you have any ideas or mission editor tips if you have any!

WARNING:
-Unfortunately, with the current memory leak, it's unlikely you'll be able to bring the landing force to the trigger to win even with time compression, but hopefully this changes. Hopefully you can get some enjoyment out of the mission even in its incomplete state!
-SA-5 site is hard to actually neutralize in current version of Sea Power b/c weapons won't target the actual radars, try jamming it at close range with an EA-6B
-Some placement of units might be a bit wack
-Takes a long ass time to arrive at the shore; it was either this or start you too close and overwhelm you with things to manage

Thanks bro! Its definitely some optimization issue because for me the performance starts out great and as the mission goes on it bottoms out at 20fps like yours :mortis: There's not even a ton of units in this either... Hopefully we see better performance as updates come out

Great mission, love these ship-to-land missions! Sea power needs a save/load function! Playing this on a GFN rig gets me about 18-22 FPS.

It's at the bottom of the Mod list with just random numbers for the title. Cannot be activated.

I am unable to find it too, I will admit Sea Power's organization isn't helping matters but I looked everywhere

Sorry to report it doesn't load properly in the Mod Manager and cannot be activated. It sounds wonderful though. Hope you can fix it.
