This map represents roughly well over 3 months worth of work. I hope you enjoy it!

September, 1943

The 45th US infantry division is pushing towards the Oliveto Citra defensive line. The local topography funnels them between mountainous areas with the Strada Provinciale 9a cutting through it.

Making good progress, they come across stiff resistance on a prepared defensive line blocking access. An attempt to break through with armour failed and overnight artillery attempted to take out some of the defensive positions. The Germans meanwhile regrouped at their fall back line, all but abandoning their lines during the overnight bombardment.

The race is now on to take the ridge and clear a path towards Serroni.

The map is inspired by a real world location (40°40'16.9"N 15°11'15.1"E). Starting off in a cultivated area, the teams advance first through a forest line before reaching a prepared position on the ridge. Flanks are comprised of vineyards and orchards with a central right flank mansion providing a strategic point for advanced regrouping. The other central flank with strategic point is covered with fields allowing for hedgerow fighting.

Closer to each base area are medium munitions (87 value in total) and fuel points (45 value in total) with lower values in the middle of the map. The central ridge provides a low fuel and munitions point and expectation is that these are constantly contested. Don't let both fall into enemy hands!

The major road intersections are strategic points with aggressive and punishing territory cut-offs. Do not over-extend and ensure they are secured!

The map features an atmosphere change from a foggy morning to a brighter but clearer daytime.

I have been made aware that this map will crash if:

You have Enhanced AI enabled
AND
You play annihilation mode

The enhanced AI mod team are aware and this is a bug that will be fixed in their next release.

I haven't had any performance issues and none of my friends commented on it either so I'd say the performance is fine.
Will let you know how we find the territory changes :steamthumbsup:
