You are a resistance agent deployed to one of the most dangerous regions on the planet. Your mission is to support fighters attempting to reclaim northern Antarctica from the Combine. This frozen hell has long become a symbol of the desperate struggle for freedom. Sub-zero temperatures, piercing winds, and endless blizzards will make your task unbearably difficult. Your objective: eliminate all Combine Elite commanders. It is beyond your power to fully liberate the region, so conserve your energy wisely.

In addition to the Combine, you have another problem. After humanity's capitulation, many people refused to surrender. Among them are neo-Nazi insurgents who fled to "New Swabia" to fight the Combine where they are harder to reach.
