Description
A: "Ok, now it's time for smg to get a grenade launcher too..."
B: "Ah no, here we go again... The crazy idea..."
A: "Behold...!!! The little brother of Rifle with M203 & Ak47 Paladin...! Mp5 with Grenade Launcher...!! Heheheh...!"

Yeah, my crazy thought won again this time, & I decided to add grenade launcher on mp5, as it fits more on mp5. But as there's already explosive one for rifle, this one will go with smoke grenade. The smoke grenade itself is a special one, as it can hinder zombies instead of just covering the area with smoke.

List of available features on "mp5 with smoke gl.txt":
  1. Mp5 GL User: Which type of survivor can use this feature (bots only/ players only/ all).

  2. Mp5 GL Smoke Radius: How far the smoke can cover the area. Default value is 250. If it's increased to more than 250, the visible smoke radius remains the same, but the radius to hinder zombies are increased.

  3. Mp5 GL Damage: How much damage the smoke can deal per 0.5 second. Max= no limit. Special feature: Minus value will heal survivors instead (healing smoke lol). (Notes: The damage is divided into 2 parts, original damage & custom damage. The original damage is 1 & survivors can take damage too, while the custom damage follows the value of this feature & survivors are immune to this custom damage)

  4. Mp5 GL Shot Count: How many shots are needed until survivor gets a GL ammo. Min= 1, max= no limit.

  5. Bot Smoke Evasion: This is to make bots avoid smoke grenade to prevent them from taking continuous damage when standing in the smoke. The value controls the evasion method whether they run from the smoke after taking damage or before taking damage with a timer.

  6. Flare Mode: When enabled, smoke grenade also acts as a flare. The flare light radius is affected by "Mp5 GL Smoke Radius".

  7. Semi Bile Mode: When enabled, smoke grenade can attract common infected. But as it's only a semi bile, it has no effect if there's no common infected in a map.

Special traits of the smoke & mechanisms of the GL:
  • Keep shooting with mp5 until you get a notif about GL ammo.

  • Press Aim/ Scope button to aim. GL can be used only when aiming.

  • The smoke grenade will go straight to the center of crosshair, & start to cover area in smoke in 1 second.

  • Witch, Common infected & special infected trapped in the smoke will keep stumbling (so this smoke grenade is perfect for escaping). However, tank only has 5% chance to stumble when he goes into the smoke.

  • Zombies take 1 original damage per 0.5 second & custom damage based on "Mp5 GL Damage" per 0.5 second when trapped inside the smoke. The smoke lasts for 15 seconds. You're free to make this smoke grenade only as a hindrance for zombies, or a deadly poisonous gas that kill zombies very fast by modifying the value.

  • Survivors don't take damage on "Mp5 GL Damage", but they'll take damage on the original damage (1 damage per 0.5 second) when they go into the smoke.

  • Setting the value of "Mp5 GL Damage" to minus. will heal survivors & give no effects on zombies. Example: Setting the value to -10 will heal survivors inside the smoke as much as 9 health per 0.5 second (minus the 1 damage from the original damage).

So, with this mp5 with GL added, you'll have more tactics in handling zombies during panic events or alarm event, as you can use the smoke GL as the alternative for bile bomb to block the area behind.

NOTES:
  • A video preview will be added later.
  • The explosions on the video preview were not from mp5 GL but from rifle with m203 from my other mod. Bots sure loved using it to bully special infected & tank :D .

@TheTeaa , did you enable "Flare Mode" too, or not? "Flare Mode" will spawn dynamic light in the smoke, & if the smoke radius is set more than the default, the dynamic light range will also increase & could reduce framerate. For the smoke particle, it's actually just one particle. The smoke would be thicker if I added more than one smoke particle. Actually there's also smoker's smoke particle, but that looks too mild & more transparent compared to this. I'll try to check other smoke particle in case if there's another that can replace the current smoke particle.

is it possible that you can reduce the amount of aprticles for this? my framerate chugs whenever I use this :)

@DIN0_anomaly.mp4 , a good news, the mp5 with m203 scripts are completed. The only things left would be doing few tests & making animated images for mp5 with m203.

Well, the mp5 rarely appears in gameplay and almost no one uses the mp5 as it is inferior to the mac 10 which is more common to appear and better to use than the mp5 itself, so it certainly improves the weapon and people could use it more often and match the half-life theme of course, so it wouldn't be a bad idea.

@DIN0_anomaly.mp4 , there's already m16. Check the collection I added above. As for mp5 with GL (not smoke GL), I'm not sure whether I should make it or not, as it might cause imbalance on T1 weapons.
