FEC Class 801 Mountain

Description
Thank you so much to Kilroy for his excellent screenshots!

Just in time for Turkey day!

Sunshine State

Hello folks, and welcome back to the USRA era! Today we have a stout passenger locomotive! The FEC Class 801 4-8-2 mountain!

READ THIS PLEASE!!!!
As a heads up folks, you will find this locomotive in your buy menu under "multiple unit" under the steam category. The reason you see it under the multiple unit category is the Random numbers mod. In order for it to work the locomotive must have a cargo space. That cargo is 1 passenger. So no, you are not crazy if you see this on your freight trains. This is the workaround for getting the random numbers to work. Honestly well worth it! Normally I'd say you must have a dependent mod active for the random numbers to work, but Meatballhero has allowed me to include the files! No dependents necessary for this one! Also you may want to set a max timer for your trains you want to sit and wait for full at stations.

Slight history

During the first world war the federal government enacted the USRA as an experiment to nationalize the railroads during a wartime emergency. This lasted from December of 1917 to March of 1920. They introduced standardized locomotive and rail car classes known as the USRA Standard.
Changes occurred quickly as once President Wilson issued the order for nationalization. All the railroads were organized into 3 divisions, East, West, and South. A reduction in passenger service occurred to help with decongestion of freight. The current number of locomotives and rolling stock was augmented by new production of up-to-date and standardized types/designed to be the best that could be produced to replace outdated equipment.

These locomotives are great express passenger service!

Whats next

This was a fun one, had a good diagram. This ends the USRA Heavy Mountain sub classes. Up next.. the Southern PS-4, the B&O P-7, B&O P-5, and Heavy Santa Fe 2-10-2... this will conclude my run on the USRA variations... yes.. the Heavy Mike 2-8-2, 2-6-6-2, and 2-8-8-2 are missing.. we will see what next game brings. No i'm not doing switchers there is no point at this current time. I'm looking forward to completing this almost 2 year project of the USRA and it's various sub classes. I have plenty of mods in the future beyond the USRA/sub classes to come. To much to do so little time. Yes, it is possible that the above stated will not show up based on what is announced in the future for the TPF series. My intention is when announced all work will switch over to preparing for the next game... we shall see.

The USRA locomotives are also ones in which if you simply google USRA and the type of locomotive you get so many hits on model locomotives. So if you are wanting to reskin these into your own road you can ask me on the TPF American Modding discord for the PSD's and create a dependent mod if you wish for the community.

HEADS UP-

From this point, please understand that my mods are rather heavy in poly count. Sorry I enjoy the detail. I put a lot of effort into these, to make them as best I can to be enjoyed. Sorry if you don't have enough disk space or computer power to run these. The models have LOD's on them to help reduce poly count as you zoom out.

Also in regards to screen shots. About 95% of the time friends take the screenshots for me. So any questions regarding them is best directed toward them at the discord below.

I get the impression that "Neighbor Kid"'s steam locomotives always include photos of the neck area.It is the same as the mane of a male lion.It looks impressive when It turn around.Without the mane, it wouldn't look as impressive. If Trump were 140cm tall, he wouldn't look very impressive. It's the same thing. It wouldn't be as impressive without Mr. Trump's mane, would it? It's the same thing.I believe it's not "fake hair".
The wiring around the neck of the steam locomotive is really cool, and the charcoal color scheme is also really cool.
Please be proud of the 4th picture. Mr. Kilroy
I'll make use of this good product.
By the way, the noise is a bit noisy in my neighborhood, so I'm turning it down, so I'm not really concentrating on it right now. But I think people who like it will be happy. Thank you.
Fake hair?
