Finally Uniforms and Heraldry of the Dwarfs III is here!

The Dwarfs are the most complete faction in the game and their units appearence is very lore-friendly. They only lack of more diversified shields.
This is a graphical mod that changes appearence, in a more lore-friendly way, for some units.
With this mod I re-worked and worked from scratch a lot of textures adding dozens of variants always referring to original tabletop models and painting schemas.

The results are:
- New lore-friendly shields decals and colour scheme for dwarfs warriors, quarellers, thunderers, rangers
- New and more lore-friendly shields for Longbeards
- Added different colour scheme for Ironbrakers shields
- Alternated uniforms colour scheme for dwarfs warriors, quarellers, thunderers etc...
- New pants colour pattern for slayers and giant slayers
- New textures for the giant slayers two-handed axes
- New look for Hammerers ( golden scale armour instead steel)
- Better uniforms colour scheme for almost all heroes (except legendary lords)
- Reworked almost all factions banners and colours (including battle and campaign banners)
- Added Merwanor's models and textures fixes (big thanks to Merwanor)
- Integrated a compatible version of Merwanor's quivers mod from " Details Matter" mod (big thanks to Merwanor)


This short description is not eough to describe the big big work I've done, so I suggest to try this mod. I'm sure you will be pleased.



A lot of you know me, and you know that when I plan lore-friendly goodies I do lore-friendly goodies ...
I was a Warhammer Fantasy Battle miniatures collector and painter since I was a child and I collected a lot of miniatures of different races (Empire, Dwarves, Orcs and Goblins and High Elves).

The main guidelines I used to make heraldry and shields emblems are taken from all recent warhammer fantasy official documentations and artworks.
Every textures was wisely edited keeping always in mind these documentations and, if missing, keeping always in mind lore standards.

Dawi usually do not use particular heraldry oin their shields. Often the shields of the same units display different decals (dwarfs ancestor, anvils, hammer, hammer and anvil). The shields background colour scheme usually reflect the clan colours which the units belong to (since in TW warhammer there are not different clans, but factions instead, I made for each faction different shields background patterns). The final result is the totally different looks of the army (more lore-friendly and less uniformed and monotonous).


GRAPHICS AND VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS SUGGESTIONS

I suggest people to use Reshade [reshade.me]. With this new FX Injector you can directly create your custom profile.
Please, read the Reshade instructions and installation process in the official site forum.

To load the preset on Reshade click "HOME" key, then you will see a bar with a "+" at the top , click the "+" key and add my preset.



This mod is a part of a big lore-friendly retextures project. Other uniforms and heraldry will be realized for other faction too and probably those graphical mod will be used for a possible new regional recruitment system... soo do not forget it! ;)

Thorgrim's throne-bearers shield textures are messed up. ever since the new patch arrived. I hope its an easy fix.

I hope to see an update regarding Malakai at some point. There are other color mods tht change the Masters of Innovation colour from red to a more fitting "Gromril and Gold" scheme, unfortunately they are incompatible with using this mod.

Hammererers pauldron gem fixed
