Description
The Commodore has ordered the entire convoy AD59 to regroup to help defend against the increased air threat that is expected due to the Soviet capture of Iceland and its airfields. The Merchant Ships are now formed up and continuing towards Le Harve at maximum speed. All of the escorts are formed to the North of the merchantmen and need to be positioned accordingly so that the ships with more capable air defense systems can help cover those that have less capable systems. The fall of Iceland has been a heavy and unexpected blow to the REFORGER operation. Expect heavy Air Attack from Soviet Naval Aviation until the convoy reaches the designated area and NATO aircraft from the UK and Europe can help cover the formation. One third of the merchants must make it to the designated area for the mission to be deemed successful. While the Air threat has now increased significantly, the threat from Soviet submarines is still present and should not be ignored. Best of luck.

Ok I will give it a shot, I am hoping to make a few different scenarios as the game goes on and make little campaigns more or less. My biggest difficulty is get REDFOR AI to do what I want, specifically launching cruise missiles from submarines at BLUFOR targets inside the scenario/mission. In the editor I can put cruise missile armed submarines at launch depth at optimum firing range with a Tu-95 actively giving the Red fleet targeting data and unfortunately the captains of the submarines will choose to dive deep and evade or maneuver into to torpedo range lol. I'm hoping this gets changed shortly but that is my main hold up for future scenarios.

If I may make a suggestion, if you have planned a scenario with several missions, it is best to have them all grouped together.

The way to do this is to create a folder called "Red Storm Rising" in the missions folder, for example, and put all the mission files in it. The trick is to create the same name for this subfolder in all the missions in the campaign, and in the Name field of each mission, add the order number to the name: 01, 02, 03, etc.

This way they all appear in the scenario selector within an entry with the same name as the folder you created in missions.

Ok I’ll go ahead and delete it, I watched a video on making stuff for this game and maybe misunderstood what he said about that bit. I really appreciate the feedback. I’m working on part 3 now and trying to get the AI to do what I want for it. Hope to have it out soon! Happy hunting!

Now everything is working correctly @Angry_RINO_59 , the mission loads correctly and its description appears, good job ;)

If you want to make it perfect, you can delete "the RSR Convoy Escort mission 2_info.ini" file that is inside the missions directory because it is not necessary.

This mod does not work (as downloaded on the workshop) as it doesnt have proper folder hierarchy (the mission folder should be in a folder named missions). Also the "RSR Convoy Escort mission 2_info" file is not necessary


I've tried to fix it on my computer, but Steam has a bad habit of every so often restoring the mod undoing the changes.

Could you please fix this?
