Description
What is this?

A plugin that utilizes Community Highlander functionality to prevent wound recovery from resetting soldier will when they recover from a wound. As such, the Community Highlander, which is the foundation of any sane modded XCOM experience, is required.

When a soldier recovers, they will be still be immediately deployable, but their will needs time to recover. Repeatedly deploying soldiers without providing them time to rest makes them vulnerable to enemy psionics, prone to panicking, prone to becoming tired or shaken, and prone to acquiring harmful traits.

Why is this?

The preview image is probably all the explanation that's needed.

Compatibility

Should be basically universally compatible and is safe to install mid-campaign. Should also be safe to uninstall mid-campaign.

@ReshiKillim, I appreciate this for making the game harder. I do have some ideas for future Requiem for Man mods on this line of thinking:

1. A soldier who had been on a bleedout timer during the mission is marked by a mortality debuff, so that even if revived, they bear the debuff for the remainder of the mission. Afterwards, their current Will is drained to zero (and does not start to recover until all HP is restored). Furthermore, they gain a negative trait, suffer permanent stat drain to their maximum Will, and permanent stat drain to another stat.

2. If a soldier's Will is reduced to zero, and they deployed to the mission tired, they suffer a heart attack that leaves them on Death's Door instantly.

Ok, managed to trick my soldier back. Theres no indication that this mod is the reason this bug ocurred. In case someone has the same problem:
1 - Install [WOTC] Additional Soldier Console Commands and [WOTC] XpanD's Console Commands
2 - Select the Soldier on Armory
3 - Type on console: SetSelectedSoldiersStat eStat_Will 65 true (He was still shaken)
4 - Type on console: ForceShakeSoldier
5 - Type on console: FixSoldier (didnt work without step 4)

Thank you for all your help :)

@Leokosta Negative will is not something this mod can cause, and is indicative of a deeper underlying mod issue from some other mod

Hi. Dont know if it has to do with this mod, but I have a soldier in the barracks that is shaken and has -12 Will. I saw later, not sure if it happened after a mission or not. But his will is not recovering, almost a month passed. Tried to put a will PCS (just have 15), so his will is 3 , but still shaken and not recovering. I cant put him on infirmary either, its greyed. Any help/tips ? Thank you

Thank-you for your response. While most of your mods add difficulty beyond my capabilities, I've been waiting for a mod like this one.
I've been watching ChristopherOdd's Season 9 XCOM 2 play through and I can see the quality you've put into everything you make. Thank-you for your hard work and dedication.

@ruler2k2k2

Will still naturally recovers during the wounded time. So if you would get 18 days shaken, and 5 days wounded, you'd result with 13 days shaken

Since no one has asked yet: How does the mod handle a soldier that is injured AND has low enough will that would cause them to be shaken? Do they go from gravely wounded for 5-7 days and then shaken for 16 -18 days?

@Astaroth Not immediately full, but close to it,m minor injuries can entirely skip will loss that would cause a soldier to be tired/shaken. Let's say a soldier goes down to 5 will out of 100. You lose 1 HP, soldier is out 3 days.

For example, you would be at like, 15 will, instead, when the wound recovers, you end up with 70-80 out of that 100

wait so normally if a soldier recover from wounds they immediately get full will again? and this fixes that?
