Every Prophet In His House

Description
Before the beginning, after the great war between Cave and common sense, Aperture created the Laboratories and gave dominion over it to the crafty computer he called GLaDOS. And to each generation was born a creature of light and a creature of darkness. And great armies clashed by night in... sorry, Greg just told me none of that is true and that I should get on with explaining the Test. Greg, you're fired. Yes, again. Grab me a coffee and finish your work first though, I don't trust those damn temps they keep sending to replace you. Could we train a turret to do your job?
Anyway, the Test. It's easy, pick the right path... no, Greg, right as in correct, it wasn't a hint. Test Subject, don't go right, go correct. Which might be right. Or it might be left. Or the middle. If in doubt always go to the middle! Now where's my damn coffee?

I don't usually like including death traps, especially not blind ones but I really liked the idea of the bridge room so I wanted to include it, figured if I was going to have one death trap I may as well throw both ideas in (the original plan for the turret room was a lot more cruel by the way, but I found it far too luck dependant so I changed it a little and added lightbridges to hide the worst of the bullet storm) and put some autosaves in just before them to lessen the tedium of dying

I admit I didnt really like the death traps, the player is pretty much guaranteed to die at least twice on a blind run. A small saving grave was that the intended solution made me smile, reminded me of Indianna Jones:)

I honestly didn't expect it to be that annoying, but I do see your point and appreciate the video to highlight it. I intended the lighting in the two corridors to be so dark for some foreboding atmosphere for the upcoming danger but I didn't notice how dark the entrance was during my test, unforgivable mistake on my part which will be rectified
I suspect much of your annoyance though comes from mistaking puzzles for "fake stuff" as you found an unintended solution. I had noticed the ability to hit the gel button from below but didn't think it'd be exploitable so left it in, clearly I was mistaken
Both rooms containing danger also have autosaves at the end of the corridors to them, the bridge room also has a hint in the Cave intro text but I'll put something in game too

Death traps and fake stuff, really? This might work as a prank for your friends but I don't think this type of map is going to make you new friends. What happened to the idea that Portal 2 is a puzzle game about logic? blind run: http://youtu.be/_cq7mwnqa0U

the panel at the exit is for if you do the three paths in a different order and reach the exit before unlocking it. as for the bridges to the cube both the faith plate and the lightbridge are traps, the real bridge triggers if you take Cave's advice from the description and try for a middle path just walking into the water and the bridge will rise as you approach the edge

I just finished this map and there are a couples of things I don't need: the first bridge to get the cube never used because the platforms triggered themselves; and then the flip panel near the exit is not needed because the door is open. Besides that it's a fun easy map. You could put more lightsstrips here and there...
