Description
& now the "Hellfire Pumpshotgun" has been completed. While mp5 has smoke GL that can also work as a semi bile bomb, this pumpshotgun can work as mini molotov.

Q: "What makes it different from molotov?"
A: "While molotov has 15 seconds of duration, this only has 5 seconds. & molotov can't burn zombies in water, but this can, as this basically summons a 'Hellfire' that can't be extinguished with water."

Well, I'm still too lazy to upload a video as it takes longer time than making a gif image, so, I put a give image instead here:

The electric sparks there are from other mod, not from this mod.

List of available features on "hellfire pumpshotgun.txt" cfg file:
  1. Hellfire Shotgun User: Which type of survivor can use "Hellfire Shot" (bots/ players/ all).

  2. Hellfire Radius: How far the radius of the Hellfire is. Default value is 250.

  3. Hellfire Damage: How much damage per 0.5 second the zombies will take. The damage is divided into 2 parts, original damage & custom damage. Original damage is 1, & survivors can also take damage, while custom damage follows the value of "Hellfire Damage", & survivors are immune to this damage.

  4. Bot Hellfire Evasion: When enabled, bots will be pushed back or jump backward when they enter Hellfire.

Mechanisms of "Hellfire Shot":
  • Press AIM/ SCOPE to use scope on pumpshotgun. "Hellfire Shot" is active only when aiming.

  • "Hellfire Shot" has 100% accuracy & hits the center of crosshair.

  • "Hellfire Shot" starts to burn in 1 second after shooting, & lasts for 5 seconds after starting to burn.

  • "Hellfire Shot" uses up all ammo clip, & the damage can be multiplied by the number of ammo clip used. Examples: 1 ammo clip= 1x damage. 5 ammo clip= 5x damage.

  • Special infected will stagger when entering Hellfire. Tank only has 5% chance to stagger.

  • As this Hellfire deals fire damage, any common infected that are not immune to fire will die instantly (hardcoded by L4D2) even when the damage on "Hellfire Damage" is set to 1.

  • Coach now can use voicelines when using "Hellfire Shot". Sometimes he'll sing :D .

So, with this "Hellfire Pumpshotgun", you'll feel like carrying mini molotov, with the cost of all ammo clip on each use.


NOTES:
  • Setting "Hellfire Radius" higher than 250 or 300 will make the burn damage spread farther, but the Hellfire effect won't change its size (I still can't find where to increase/ decrease the particle effect size. Or probably it's impossible to change size via "info_particle_system").

The implementation of double barrel shotgun could be interesting idea mechanic, as it consume 2 shotgun shells, just like in Half-Life games.

Only for Pump shotgun? Or it work for chrome shotgun too?
