The Black Hole Bison was created before many of DFS's uploads.

Before the time of space dogfights, the Black Hole Bison was created as a pilot product for DFS's 'Bison' line of production spacecrafts. Owning a Bison was akin to owning a fancy or expensive car in the time of the space age. However, the Bisons quickly fell behind as their production costs were significantly larger than their selling price. In addition, they were not fighter spacecrafts, so as the demand for fighters skyrocketed, the Bisons were forgotten. Most were scrapped or gutted for parts. Some were left to sit and gather asteroid dust in their owner's hangars. Only 4 were preserved, 3 of which were the first that DFS made in their days of space production.
