Sorry meant to say removal of Mk 13 "on USN Vessels was to free up more SM-1 for sale to Allied Navies." Not sure if that was clear in the post.

@Deconvolution. The last nine ships of the class had new remotely operated 25 mm Mk 38 Mod 2 Machine Gun Systems (MGSs) installed on platforms over the old Mk 13 launcher magazine. Many of these ships worked in conjunction with the U.S. Coast Guard patrolling the Gulf of Mexico in Drug Interdiction Patrols So yeah, a big downgrade.

On a side note, many of the O. H. Perry's that were transferred to allied Navies, notably Australia and Turkey, were modified to add a Mk 41 VLS System in front of the Mk 13 Launcher. These ships still used the SM-1 in the Mk 13 magazines and the removal of the USN Mk 13 was partly to free up more SM-1 for sale to our allies.

@Yaivenov wait perry without missile launcher? then it only have some torpedo tubes and a 3inch gun?

I was in the Navy during the period where we had the Perry but without the SM-1. When SM-1 was withdrawn from service they removed the launcher system as well. I don't understand why they didn't leave the launcher and just load it up with extra harpoons.

This mod would actually be a neat alternate history version of the Perry for its near-end-of-service when the SM-1s are gone.
