MF Etal Castle (1957)

The MF Etal Castle was built in 1957 by a family-run shipyard to serve as a vital link across the nearby rivers. Initially designed to transport no more than three cars and a handful of passengers, it was crafted from sturdy oak timbers sourced locally. For decades, it faithfully carried farmers, locals, and visitors to the nearby islands. Though retired in the early 2000's, it remains moored as a nostalgic riverside café and community hub.
