Operation Iron Wings

Description
Mission Brief: Operation Iron Wings – Escort the General Secretary
Date: 1976
Location: Black Sea, Air Corridor from Burgas to Sevastopol
Faction: Warsaw Pact

Comrade Commander, an urgent mission demands your immediate attention!
Our nation, Bulgaria, has entered a critical juncture in its role within the Warsaw Pact. The General Secretary has been dispatched aboard a Tu-154 aircraft to Sevastopol to participate in a high-stakes meeting with allied leaders. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the potential inclusion of nuclear capabilities within our national defense framework.

However, intelligence reports indicate that NATO is aware of this mission. The Americans, fearing the strengthening of the Eastern Bloc, may attempt to intercept and destroy the General Secretary’s aircraft en route. This brazen act would not only be a grievous loss to our country but could escalate into a broader conflict.

Your mission, Commander, is to ensure the Tu-154 reaches Sevastopol safely, navigating treacherous skies and a perilous sea route. You have been granted command over a formidable array of assets to achieve this goal. Failure is not an option—our nation's honor and future are in your hands!
