The insert cam (one of cams in the "cam" tab - I think maybe) has its position set by an X, Y point in the texture or UV map (Or maybe a local X, Y translation from the parent, I dont know). This point will automatically lock the cam to where the jet is in the world, but for some unknown reason, does not take into account the jets Z position. In order to correctly calculate the Z position, the developers gave the camera a linecast - meaning a straight line up and down and then set the camera position to the Z value of the highest game object that it hits. For some reason, this doesn't ignore terrain or buildings, so this camera will set its Z position to the highest point that it hits, and if that isn't the jet, then the camera wouldn't be correct. I have no idea why this happens or even really how that linecast works (especially while banking, like how does that even work), but either way, its super annoying in a hanger and a tunnel.
Frick cam linecast *Grrrr*
