Description
READ ALL BELOW BEFORE STARTING
Player DLC: BR Class 58 Railfreight

IMPORTANT: I will be deleting this scenario soon after publishing Version 2. In the Subscribed version of this scenario (but not my original), one service does not move properly, causing an issue with signal E779. This is unusual but REAL!

1986 containers from Southampton Maritime Terminal for Bristol via Salisbury. 75mph maximum for this service.

During this early sunny summer morning in the late 1980’s: depart the Maritime Terminal at Southampton, watch the signal entering the SW main line, travel at a maximum of 75mph towards Romsey, stop at the end of the platform at Romsey for the section ahead to clear, enjoy a medium paced run chasing a service, stop a mile or two south of Salisbury, enter Salisbury slowly negotiating the 15mph restriction, stop just before entering the spur to Bristol via Warminster.

Route: Southampton - Salisbury Extension
Duration: 44 minutes Difficulty: Medium
Scenario: Standard

Extra DLC to route:
BR Class 58
BR Class 31
Class 205 Thumper
BR Blue Diesel Electric Pack
BR Class 50

I hope you enjoy the scenario. Please leave some feedback. I always reply.

Hi Rammy, Great to hear from you again. Sorry to hear that. I'm not sure why that happened. It may be a Class 58 quirky issue. I couldn't replicate it, so have decided to leave the scenario as is for now.

We are doing very well thank you arktiem.
Personally I like the Class 58 a lot. I am pleased you enjoyed another of my 'adventures'.
I know you like freight more, so this was more to your liking.
My latest freight I have just created on the SW Expressways-Reading route is really 'special'.
I have figured out (after reading a comment by crazy gecko) how a player can unload ballast on the run - and switch it off too, all by a worker on the back wagon turning control wheels. It is really different - and a first I believe on Workshop. Give me half a chance and I am in there doing it!.
It was prompted by tonix telling me a wagon was unloading as it went past him (not meant to). This got me really intrigued to look into it. It is now in the top 8 on Workshop for the week.
I hope you can try it one day soon.
Cheers

That was a whole lot of fun! I couldn't believe it, but I looked in my records and that was the first time I've run the Class 58. A fun engine to drive though she is slow to startup, but once there she runs very smooth. Thank you, my friend, for another wonderful adventure. I'm a freight guy, so this one was right up my alley. Thanks for all you do, Purrfessor! Your work and you are both very appreciated. I hope you are all doing super well in the first section of a mew year! Take good care and I'll see you in the next one! :choo::chooo::choooo:

Hello to you too pjohnandlyns. Thanks for your support again - and your feedback. I always appreciate it. When I correlated the loco/era the 58 was there. Great for me as I had forgotten about it. I think it is great to drive.
