Battlezone 98 Redux/PSP Custom DM mode

Description
Crossover mod inspired by the largely forgotten Battlezone PSP, an arena combat hover tank game.

This mod is a death match map with custom redone tank, sentinel, drone, jump pad and prop models along with a custom apocalyptic arena. The map features sound effects, music and VO's from the original game as well. I quite like some of the art style and models from the PSP game, but you can't play it outside of an emulator these days so this seems like a fun way to bring some of it back to PC.

Currently has a test feature of Bot backfill - meaning, you can play the DM map solo if you want and fight the AI. Bots decrease if players join. I still probably need to fine tune this.

Tanks:
  • Asp (Light Tank): Dual Heavy Gatling Guns, Backup Guns, Laser Trap
  • Cabal (Medium Tank): Railgun, Backup Guns, Sentinel Deployer
  • Titan (Heavy Tank): Dual Tracking Missile Launchers, Backup Guns, Combat Drone Deployer

Gameplay:
  • No ejects (tank dies, you die and respawn)
  • Tanks have overall a lot more health and mobility, requiring dog fighting
  • Jump pads to help traversing and evasion
  • "Specials" that have a long cooldown but add a bit of firepower depending on the tank you choose such as deploying a sentinel turret or combat drone that helps you.
  • Recharge stations scattered around map that give hull/ammo back

- Bzone Lord for artistic direction and advice

Yeah it looks pretty fun honestly, and I like how some of the models look, which is why I wanted to bring it back here.

y'all seriously sleeping on the original psp game though, i've played it on original hardware and it's sooo fun (and looks great for the psp too)
