January 21, 1987: With the US slowly losing its grip over the waters surrounding Japan, increasing volumes of shipping have been rerouted south, through the Phillippines and Indonesia. Even in spite of multiple successful strikes on PLAN assets, the Chinese are determined to make the most of this newfound opportunity. With the majority of their remaining submarine strength, and a little Soviet help, they have mustered together a wolfpack of submarines and set them loose upon US shipping in the Singapore, Gaspar, and Sunda Straits. To counter this, Task Force 67, a potent group of ASW ships, was quickly formed together and sent to Indonesia to clear any threats from the water. The Sunda Strait was cleared out 2 days ago by an British-Australian convoy, but the rest of the job is up to you, so get out the lawn mower and get to work.
