Operation Silent Meridian (1969)

Description
Mission Briefing: Operation Silent Meridian – April 20, 1969
Comrade Commander, the Motherland demands your utmost dedication and skill!

The Soviet Navy has dispatched a powerful task force to transit the Suez Canal and rendezvous in the Red Sea with the submarine K-42, a November-class vessel carrying a classified and strategically vital cargo. The importance of this mission cannot be overstated—success will bolster the strength of the Soviet Union and shift the regional balance of power.

However, the path to success is fraught with danger. American naval forces, including a Galveston-class guided-missile cruiser and two Leahy-class cruisers, have deployed to the region. Their objective is clear: block your advance and disrupt the rendezvous. Reports of Egyptian submarines in the area and airstrikes from Egyptian bases add further peril.

Your fleet must overcome these challenges, ensuring the safe passage of our ships and completing the rendezvous with K-42. Failure is not an option.
