Mission - Resolute Tide

Description
The Iraqi occupation of Sirri, Abu Moussa, and the Tunb Islands following theire unexpected victory againit Iran, combined with their support for a coup in Qatar, has created a significant threat to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. This vital waterway, through which nearly 30% of the world’s oil supply flows, is now under the shadow of advanced Iraqi naval, air, and missile capabilities bolstered by Soviet support. Intelligence reports indicate a strong network of coastal defense systems, including anti-ship missiles, radars, and air defense batteries, backed by frigates, missile boats, and potentially a submarine. While the exact composition and readiness of these forces remain unclear, their presence poses an unacceptable risk to international shipping and Allied operations in the region.

Task Force 88 has been deployed with a clear objective: secure the Strait of Hormuz and neutralize Iraqi positions on the contested islands. This mission will require a combination of naval strikes, air operations, and amphibious landings to dismantle enemy defenses and restore the free flow of maritime traffic. The operation is expected to face determined resistance, with Iraqi forces utilizing asymmetric tactics and heavily fortified positions to delay or disrupt Allied advances. The success of TF-88 in this opening phase will determine the momentum of subsequent operations to counter Iraq’s broader aggression in the Gulf.

Iran is neutral but will not tolerate US asset in it's water (12 nm from the shore).

Disclamer : It's my first real try at a mission. Not sure about the scale and the balance. It's also a long one. Attention, heavy civilian traffic.
