------------------------------------

Overview:
Rising tensions in the Middle East have sparked a dangerous escalation. Iran’s increasing support for Houthi rebels in Yemen has led to a surge in attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea, threatening global trade and regional stability. In response, the United States has deployed naval forces to secure critical maritime routes and protect commercial vessels from escalating threats.

Mission 1: Operation Sea Guardian - Red Sea Convoy Escort
Your mission continues in the Red Sea, where you must escort a merchant vessel and oil tanker from the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait to the Gulf of Aden. The convoy is at risk from Iran-backed Houthi forces using fast attack craft and anti-ship missiles. You must protect the convoy from these threats while avoiding civilian casualties, neutralizing hostile forces, and ensuring the safe passage of both ships through these dangerous waters.

Mission 2: Operation Free Passage - Gulf of Oman Blockade Runner
In the Gulf of Oman, Iran has established a naval blockade, aiming to disrupt global shipping. As the commanding officer of the USS Jacksonville (SSN-699), you are tasked with breaking through this blockade by either neutralizing 12 Iranian naval vessels or navigating past their forces undetected. Stealth is crucial, as you must avoid detection and refrain from engaging civilian vessels to prevent an international incident.

Mission 3: Operation Twin Tango - Force Projection in the Persian Gulf
Though the Iranian blockade in the Gulf of Oman was disrupted, Tehran is attempting to reassert control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Iranian forces have fortified the region with naval assets and coastal defenses, continuing to threaten the free movement of international shipping.

Mission 3A: You will command two carrier strike groups, Tango and Kappa, along with the USS Jacksonville (SSN-699), in an effort to secure the Strait of Hormuz with enhanced naval strength.
Mission 3B: The more challenging variant, where you will command only one carrier strike group, Tango, with the USS Jacksonville (SSN-699) in a more limited force projection to achieve the same objective.
In both versions, if Iranian forces initiate hostilities, you are authorized to destroy their military headquarters in Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Dayre to neutralize their operations. Secure the waterway and restore safe passage for global commerce.
--------------------------------------------------------
Note: Currently there are no ways to have Aircraft Carrier Aircraft's trigger in a zone as they don't exist until launched.
So in mission 3, there isn't a way for Iran to react or change sides because of your aircraft from either CAG entering their airspace. Keep this in mind as it technically allows you to 'cheese the mission' by entering airspace you wouldn't normally be able to. Mission 3 also starts with the Iranians as neutral as there hasn't been a formal declaration of war, and the previous 2 missions were either not engaging the actual iranian military or you were meant to remain completely covert.

I know it's not a huge deal but the first mission is labeled as 2024 and the rest are labeled as 1990. Just thought I'd give you a heads up. Also is there any way you can put the text at the start of the mission? I keep forgetting to read the description and then I'm needing to back out and read it to get an idea of what's going on

Missions have been updated. Mission 3 still starts with Iran as neutral as intended. Mission 1 fixes deployed.

@CaptainSpacey93 I will check this issue tonight and roll an update. Radar site may have been tied into civilian trigger.

Mission 3 contacts are neutral until you enter contested waters.

Both 3A and 3B show all the contacts a neutral, and the ashm launcher in the red sea mission to the east of the convoy launches into the ground

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding something... But in mission 1, I destroyed an enemy radar site (was labeled hostile) which was in the center of a bunch of ASM launchers that were engaging me, and I failed the mission due to civilian casualties... huh...?

I see this: Mission 3A: Easier version with 2 Carrier Attack Groups (Tango and Kappa)

I have seen that all contacts on the map are neutral, including all those inside enemy HQ zones Can anyone confirm this??
