Map Borders Overhaul for Vanilla

Description
Hi there! This mod is EOL and any bugs you may find will not be fixed. We are currently waiting approval for an official port I helped create for the original dev, robert. This will be uploaded to the workshop eventually.


This is an unofficial port of the Ante Bellum submod called Map Borders Overhaul to vanilla as it's own standalone mod. I have gotten permission from the original mod dev (robert) to upload this port.

NOTE: This mod changes quite a bit about the map, so I'm not sure how compatible this mod will be with others.

Original Description
Have you ever grown tired with how sloppy and inaccurate the map looks like in vanilla EU4? This submod aims to change it and replace all the inaccurate terrain with something more sophisticated while being as compatibility-friendly as possible. With this addon come reworked coastlines, terrain textures and provinces' borders for most played regions of the world. While new coastline adds a lot of missing irl features, reworked provinces offer much more detailed borders (especially showing actual bordergore that was the HRE) of both historical and alternative scope. At last, expanded wastelands create more strategic passes and holdings.

- The Volga-Don Canal
- Central/Southern Africa wastelands removed and have a bunch more provinces

Why are you releasing this?
The original mod devs havent ported it to vanilla yet, and I wanted a port, and you wanted a port, so...

Credits
Full credits go to the original mod developers for the actual map changes, I simply just took a few days to port this over to vanilla.

Other than that..
- Province slider from Expanded Map of Europe.
- Ante Bellum (provinces)

Compatibility
This might not be very compatible with other mods. But like I said earlier, the official port is coming soon.

This mod is outright NOT compatible with...
- Mods that change the map (ex. mods that add new nations, provinces, etc)
- Mods that edit the province interface
- uhhh i think thats it :)

Known Issues
- This mod may be a tad wonky with TI showing provinces that are a little out of place, but overall shouldn't affect normal gameplay that much.
- To make some states not be 10+ provinces, I did move two states around in central/southern Africa, but chances are you probably arent directly playing there, though colonizer mission trees might be slightly affected. Sorry, I haven't playtested that region, so maybe a mission tree or two is out of wack, but fixing it wasn't my primary concern when developing this port. I'd rather have the mod work correctly overall then spend time reworking mission trees for nations people won't or barely will play.
- Dev count might be higher in some areas due to the added AB provinces, though I tried my best to fix the more important regions. China is the biggest example of this and has higher total dev (100~ more than base game) but whats the difference when their armies still suck and they'll probably explode anyway on the opposite side of the world than where most people are playing :)
- Some tags might not have their usual cores.

Correct. That version is more meant for compatibility with other mods. This one will probably stay up, just won't be updated. This mod has many underlying issues like dev count leading to very bloated nation dev early on, alongside other stuff like that would take a long while to fix. Its time better spent elsewhere. Comparatively, the new port has zero issues and is very compatible with tons of mods, just less features.

Don't know and to be completely transparent, it won't ever be fixed, sorry. This version of the mod is EOL. I've already helped port this mod to completely vanilla without any added provinces for the original dev, just waiting on him to verify and upload it himself.
