Description
Hailing from the Blazblue series, Naoto Kurogane joins the Fray! Naoto is a rushdown defined by 2 mechanics: Bloodedge, and Enhancer.

Bloodedge

Bloodedge allows Naoto to tranform his blood into long range weapons. Bloodedge is present on his smash attacks, back air, and grounded down b. These moves can be charged to greatly improve their range and power at the cost of much slower startup.

If an opponent tries to block any one of these moves, on full charge they will guard break, which forces the opponent out of shield, staggering them for a short bit and inflicting a small amount of damage. Down b uniquely becomes unblockable when fully charged.

Enhancer

Enhancer is a property that exists on his other 3 specials, which improves the properties of each of these moves when done out of a dash. Indicated by a distinct sound effect and blue afterimage on Naoto, these tools help to make his neutral and punish game a lot scarier.

Specials

Neutral Special: Slash Kaid

Slash Kaid is a simple long ranged poke with decent damage.

When enhanced, Slash Kaid gains faster startup, more range, more damage, and now sends opponents towards you, making it a very strong combo tool.

Side Special: Banishing Fang

A rekka that can be repeated up to two more times, with the third hit sending much farther away. Naoto can also do an alternate ender in Raid by inputting up+b on the third hit, which sends up for juggles.

The rekka as a whole doesn't change a lot when enhanced, but both of the third enders gain additional properties on hit, with Bash being dash cancellable, and Raid being jump cancellable. The dash from Enhanced Bash can be canceled into his Enhanced Neutral or Up Special, any of his strong attacks, or Phantom Pain.

Up Special: Inferno Crusader

Naoto's DP, which goes average distance and has somewhat short range, but is fast, really easy to combo into and also hits decently hard.

When enhanced, all of the above attributes are improved significantly, going much farther, doing more damage, becoming a lot larger, and coming out even faster, as well as being able to influence Naoto's movement during the attack.

Down Special: Divine Reaper/Grim of Phantom

Divine Reaper is a very slow but very large swing with a scythe made out of blood. In exchange for not being able to be enhanced, this move can instead be charged just like the rest of his Bloodedge moves. On full charge it becomes unblockable.

In the air, this move becomes Grim of Phantom, a slow but large divekick with an axe made of blood. Naoto descends extremely fast, but he cannot interrupt the move himself, making it extremely risky to use, although the move does have a landing hitbox to make it slightly safer.

Dodge Attack: Phantom Pain

When doing a spot dodge, Naoto can push Attack during it for a brief moment to kick above him. This kick has invulnerability for a short bit, intended to be used as a get-off-me tool. On hit, Naoto will jump up and kick the opponent away, knocking them away for respectable power.
