Description
This is an Updated version of the Realistic Graphics Mod to be compatible with 1.048.0
NOTE: this may break again in a future update if the level_of_detail.inc is modified by an official update

It is likely recommended to run towards the bottom of the list with HDR off

99% of the edits were closely matching the original mods and this alone took 3+ hours to update, most of it manually.

I likely will not be supporting any issues but it appears to resolve lots of pop-in issues.

If I go inactive and someone else wants to update this mod in the future, scroll to bottom for basic instructions


Original Mod Description:
The shadow popping up and also trees and Textures (mapping) bothered me very much. I have alsonow managed that nothing pop up anymore with optimized Performance.

I was able to completely fix the trees popping up, the shadow distance was incased to the maximum so that is no longer disturbing. The shadow removal now has also a smoother transistion, and no longer such an aggresive popping. As well as the lod: vehicles, details, unit distance and the view distance. That nothing pops up in a disturbing way. The grass distance has also been incased three times. I was also able to completly fix the popping up of the street textures.. Now parallax mapping above the full distance.

Performance optimizations were carried out.

I managed ist so that nothing more pops up.
The graphic differnce can be seen immediately in any case.

Please deactivate or delete other graphic mods which change the lod or grass distance !!!
Disable HDR in the graphic options (fix shadow flicker).

Works in the campaign,all skirmish Maps and and all previous maps from the workshop. I cannot give any guarantee for mission maps that have implemented graphic mods.

I have no Performance Problems and i have tested the mod several times and found it to Perform very well.

But a good Pc (Cpu from i7 6700k/7700k, Ryzen 7 5600x/5800x or faster and rtx 2060 1080p, rtx 3060 1440p I recommend. (The game puts more load on the cpu, dx 11 api) Should already be available. I wass a bit of works to optimize this well.

The mod should be activated last in order to work fully an all maps.

Maintaining this mod
Assuming I go inactive and someone needs a jump-off point:

In your GOH steam directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call to Arms - Gates of Hell\resource

Open the gamelogic.pak with winrar and extract the file from path ..\resource\set\level_of_detail.inc

Subscribe to this mod.

Then edit it level_of_detail.inc in Notepad matching the values from this mod found in the workshop folder (without disturbing any changes from the vanilla file from a newer update):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\workshop\content\400750\3389320051

The best way to describe before and after is when you move your camera around in-game, notice the tree, unit, and object pop-in. Enable the mod and do it again at little to no performance cost for mid-higher tier PCs
