C&DR "Ant"

A maintenance truck on the Craigcorrie & Dunalistair Railway, the little vehicle colloquially referred to as "the Ant" is a modified Mack AC cargo truck refitted with railway axles and operated as a light shunter, runabout, and maintenance of way vehicle. Unlike most similar conversions from the era, the Ant features a single pilot axle on a swiveling bogie and a pair of powered axles locked to the frame in place of the rear chain drive mechanism.

This mod was made as a part of the Craigcorrie & Dunalistair Railway project, headed by Ironheart.
