Latest update to Build 42 doesn't let you scrap leather gloves anymore. Would be nice if you could again. :steamhappy:

You can use this mod as a base to create your own mod by adding custom recipes

To do this, copy the mod folder to C:\Users\username\Zomboid\mods\, rename the folder, and update the Scrappy identifier in the mod.info file (name=Scrappy/id=Scrappy).

The recipes are stored in the LUA file media\scripts\recipes_scrappy.txt , and their translations can be found in the file media\lua\shared\Translate\EN\Recipes_EN.txt

Ok actually got around to using my changed recipe. I see what you mean.

While it doesn't answer your question about using tin cans and such in order to make scrap metal in the crafting menu. Adding the tag "SmeltableIronSmall" to items like that does make them valid ingredients for the furnace recipe.

I haven't found a way to destroy items with containers, such as cans or cooking pots, in crafting recipes yet

Can you make it so you can scrap pop and food cans? Since in the smelter you can apparently convert aluminum to iron.
