Dzerzhinsky Missile Cruiser MOD

Dzerzhinsky is a, semi-fictional, converted Sverdlov-class cruiser which has one of her main gun turrets replaced by a SA-N-3 Goblet (Soviet designation M-11 Shtorm) missile launcher, associated with a Head Lights (NATO reporting name for 4R60 Grom) Fire Control Radar. She's now more versatile, being able to engage hostile aircrafts and ships at a longer range and more accurately than with her guns.

In 1962, the Sverdlov-class light cruiser Dzerzhinsky had her X main gun turret removed and replaced by a twin SA-N-2A Guideline SAM missile launcher (not modeled in the game). The idea was to turn her into a missile-cruiser. This conversion was called Project 70E. However, it was not considered successful by the Soviet Navy, and was not extended to other ships of the class. The main reason was the missiles were liquid-fueled with acid/kerosene, which might prove a serious hazard to the ship if hit. But what if the Soviets had stuck to their guns (if I may put it this way) and replaced the SA-N-2A by the SA-N-3 Goblet during a later refit?

The advantage of the SA-N-3 missile over the SA-N-2A is it has solid fuel rocket motors which are less likely to cause a fire onboard the ship. Although the Goblet (which became operational in 1969) is not the best SAM available, Dzerzhinsky is no longer totally helpless against hostile aircrafts. And in addition, the SA-N-3 has a secondary anti-ship capacity. However, be aware this is late 60s hardware, with the 4R60 Grom FCR being able to engage only one track at a time, so don't expect Dzerzhinsky to survive encounters with more modern ships, except if you manage to bring your target(s) within range of her 152 mm guns.

Important (about mods and mods use):
This mod has been tested and is running perfectly on my computer (i7-11800H @ 2.30 Ghz - 16 GB RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050) with no other mod enabled. However, since they are as many computer configurations than computer users, it's unfortunately impossible to guarantee it will work on yours.
Be aware that by installing mods for Sea Power, you are modifying your game experience from the original intended product which is (at release date of this mod) still in EARLY ACCESS. Therefore, later game updates/patches may cause this mod to be deprecated. Although it is very unlikely, the presence of other enabled mods might cause conflicts, and the more enable mods on your computer, the greater the chance of conflict. So, to sum it up, USE MODS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
If you wish to clean uninstal this mod make sure to follow these steps: 1) Uncheck this mod in the mod manager. 2) Click on Accept. 3) Unsubscribe. Then make sure the mod's file is no longer in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1286220 folder.
