DFS never really had a true space fighter. There was the Arrow-4, a large-class carrier equipped with blasters, but that wasn't exactly the best for fighting. The Hunter was a step in the right direction, but it was only an in-atmosphere fighter jet. Ever since the Bisons failed, DFS has been looking for new ideas on a true space fighter. This is where the Luminaria came to fruition. DFS tried many things, from flying saucers to world-destroying bombs, but never got what they wanted. Until, one day, one of the DFS employees approached the CEO with a proposition. It was a simple plan: if you are getting chased, why not be able to fire behind you? This idea was a genius one. DFS quickly made a prototype, tested it, improved it, and the Luminaria was born. The original now sits in DFS's private hangar, pristine and well-kept, waiting for its next assignment.
