Description
Welcome to the battleground where the final war between humanity was fought.

The dust has long settled between the warring factions, your survival hinges on one thing: seizing control of the shattered reservoir they left in their wake.

Well, this map is a chalenge.
Your biggest fear : Badtide.
I managed to stablize my civilization on the 18 cycle with modified hard settings : 15 to 60 days drought with an handicap of 30% for the 15 firsts cycles and 10 to 30 days badtide with 10% handicap on the 20 first cycles. (and 5 to 8 temperate days).
The start was hell hard XD

I'm not sure on other difficulties but this map is virtually impossible on hard because none of the berry plants start with food. You run out of food during the first drought and enter a death spiral.

People have said that you need a lot of work to keep the badwater out. This is not true as water only enters the reservoir on one side of the map, from a small chamber. As Inane_Newt has pointed out, the other water sources don't produce any water. If you block off this small chamber, you'll trigger an overflow, causing the water to flow off the side of the map (you'll see a small tunnel near the roof of the dam). No need to use dynamite! I just put a couple of levies (later on changed them to sluices) to block the exit during a bad tide.

@Deathsminotaur, I believe those are supposed to be hydro-electric generators, not a symbol for hate.

challenging map, fun overall. Definitely need to be quick to adjust. However,

What i condemn is the fact there are 2 swastikas hidden in the ruined building/ tunnel to the left of starting area (when looking at main 'wall').

Done on hard mode, not an easy map, started flooding start area after a few cycles and the bad tides polluted the water pretty bad but once you manage the bad water, it has a huge built in reservoir which was nice.

Thought i might have to construct a massive bad water pumping system to keep the water fresh, but it only took a few dynamite, a few sluices and 10 or so levee's to divert the bad tides off the map and let the wet season in. The vast majority of the water sources are just there to keep the water in at the edges and don't produce any water, the water is coming in from one specific spot right next to the edge of the map.

Seems you HAVE to divert the 1st badwater outside the map (huuuge task btw), because it taints the whole pool behind the dam and you won't get any green again until you do and so you starve...
Maybe playable on easy mode?

they fought and fought and fought, until there were only two of them left..
and that was the end of the last man on earth

I don't hate it.
A nice amount of wood near the starting area (a nice change to the usual wood starvation). The mix of bushes (which take forever to produce food) and trees made early building harder (you kinda build in the gaps). Food is the main challenge, so you don't want to kill the bushes (even if they take forever they are the only source of food). You can't really build a farm anywhere either (or live with a mixed bushes/crops area which hurts the eyes). There is no good long term area for farming (without terraforming).
Late game you fight constant flooding of your base and deadwater (that entire ocean behind the wall will eventually be deadwater with no good way to drain just the deadwater).

The rubble that is everywhere makes for nicer screenshots, but for horrible building. You can build a few blocks down, but not remove rubble a few blocks down. So you basically have to build stairs for ever single piece of rubble which makes the experience on this map very annoying.

tons of detail could use more starting space for food
love the badwater missiles
