During DFS's golden years (around the time of the Bisons), they had many vehicles to cater to the different aspects of the city S010's needs. One of these needs was a proper exploration vehicle. The city had some, but they were useless for heavy lifting and rough terrain. This is where the idea for the Terra Magnus came to play. it is still unknown to this day why no one else in the city or beyond had thought of anything like this. Nevertheless, DFS took it as a sales opportunity. At first, they considered a flying vehicle. But as S010's airpace became more and more crowded, the idea was quickly scrapped. After many failed attempts at a land vehicle, eventually DFS came up with the Terra Magnus, a heavy duty exploration rover complete with a highly manuverable crane to boot. The project was a success, and many decades later, the Terra Magnus that DFS held was given a new paint job, new interior parts, and was sent off again to explore the cosmos as it once did long ago.
