Description
Hello all!

I bring you the A-Labs Dealership, commissioned by mthw™!

This building is home of Bricksville's A-Labs Dealership.

The building draws inspiration from various automobile dealerships from the early to mid 20th Century. The ground floor exterior and showroom floor is inspired by a former Packard dealership in California. The building features a reception/showroom area, garage, a raised balcony, a staff room and a managers office (And an unfinished service department room).
The staff room and managers office are Accessible via the seat behind the 'to elevator & stairs' door. Simply enter and exit the seat to be taken to the top floor.

Behind the reception desk is a switch which activates the interior lighting, on both the ground and top floors.

(Exterior advertising sign is activated using the headlight control. L key).

Enjoy!

Lore:

Constructed in 1922, the 'Mathewson' building was an Oldsmobile dealership. It operated as such until 1933, when General Motor's Brickstate division swapped to selling vehicles under the Chevrolet brand instead. This was due to a decline in Oldsmobile sale figures in the wake of the ongoing depression.

The building remained in GM's hands until 1952, when the building was sold to the A-Labs Corporation. (A-Labs having set up it's first US endeavour in New York, in 1947).
Bricksburg Chevrolet relocated to a purpose built 'mid-century modern' style dealership, which is located in the city's northern suburb.

Under A-Labs management, the building interior has been tastefully renovated and updated several times. All while respecting the original architectural vision.

Whilst North American sale numbers as a whole have increased since the companies arrival, they still remain well below the domestic 'Big Three'. Whilst they may not have conquered the market, A-Labs automotive division, 'Royal' has developed a loyal following. Royal remains a suitable option for those wanting understated and refined cars.

Ah, I see
Could I request one?

Good point. I should say request rather than commission.

They're builds that are requested personally by users. Someone reaches out to me, asks for a building. I ask them for their input (if they have some), design/theme wise, and I upload the finished creation.

The cover is not featured in any of the screenshots for this upload. I made a road and placed my other stand-alone builds on top of it just for the pictures.

Besides, the cover is still work in progress. (This dealership is in the cover though). It will be released when it is ready. I unfortunately cannot give an estimate for when it releases.
Hope you understand :104:

You can use it, just give proper credit so people don’t think that it’s all of your making.
