Legacy of Rome: World at War

Description
This was a scenario I made in Age of History II on what if Byzantium survived. The following is the lore for WWI:

The Age of Imperialism is almost at an end. Europe now stands in an uneasy position, with perhaps even the smallest of incidents potentially leading to a major conflict. Germany, once and old enemy of Rome has sought an alliance (Alliance of Emperors) with the ancient empire in 1895 to counter the Franco-Russian Entente. Austria-Hungary, betrayed by its German brother now stands alone. Many seek greater colonies in Africa but the British in particular wish to expand their Asian holdings and dominate India. The Eastern Roman Empire itself is in a peculiar position. Having fortified its border with the Persians, lost its Egyptian possessions, it has turned inward and begun to lay the foundations for an Eastern Roman identity, one that encompasses all of the cultures within its borders.

In Asia, the Persians, having defeated the Mughals in the 19th century, are growing in strength. With their new possessions in Arabia, they now dominated trade in the region. Japan, being victorious in both the First Sino-Japanese War and the Russo-Japanese War is experiencing great growth. The Qing Empire on the other hand, is facing a severe crisis as its population is losing faith in the authoritarian heavenly emperor. Despite this, reforms made are slowly granting the people autonomy and rights.

Crises and tension are also present in the Americas. Brazil, currently lead by an emperor, is on the brink of civil war. Gran Colombia and the Peru-Bolivian Confederation are similarly facing internal issues, potentially leading to the dissolution of their states. The reunification of Central America, spearheaded by El Salvador, is underway. A war between the states and Mexico will determine the future of this region. The United States, a growing power, is currently in is Progressive Era. Improvements to society and general reforms greatly enhanced America as it opened up to the world.

The fate of the world is at stake. Can Europe manage to peacefully negotiate any incidents that spring up? Or will with entire world be engulfed in artillery fire and fighting? The outcome of such a conflict will determine the futures of both the victors and the losers so make your decisions carefully.
