Star Shield Class Assault Corvette

A military grade patrol vessel from Astra-Telemetrics Star Systems, it boasts a highly advanced AI mainframe, combined with multipurpose armour and weaponry of three ammunition types. Running with a very low required crew (2-4) it has quickly become favoured as a police patrol vessel, allowing manpower already spread thin by the vastness of space to be somewhat better spread - instead of concentrated in a few larger ships which often require crews of ten or more.

Sales to civilians are limited due to the advanced nature of the design, although this has not prevented a few falling into hands not bound by the law. The shielding favours anti-thermal weaponry, which is useful against as many modern ships mount laser weaponry.
