Description
a medium sized patrol boat with a rapid fire size 3 autocannon.
Mainly made of lightweight alloy and metal, with some wood in non-critical areas the ship is powerful, fast, and manuverable enough to provide AI protection for a variety of assets.

Edit 1: Upgrades for everything!
-Cannon: reduced the size a bit to make it not look as silly. RoF is now at 0.51 while the gauge and punch increased with additional exploive crates.
-Engine: Massively improved engine setup utilizing 2x90(hp?) engines driving 2 huge propellers with some juice left to spare.
-Hull: Added a bulbous bow to help keep the drive under control. Plus it looks really sweet.
-AI: fixed up ai; it should now have control over the cannon. Also improved the sensor suite and it's placement.
-Supplies: added in ammo synthesizers to keep the thing stocked if you decide to modify it a bit. Moved ammo barrels to less sensitive areas.

To (possibly) Add:
-2-4 small interceptor missiles, to handle things the cannon can't.
-Shielding systems. i've got some power to spare but it might add in unneed cost to a simple heavy patrol boat.
-A laser main gun. i've got the space if I shuffle some things around though some slight extensions might need to be made.

-cannon: further tweakings improve just about everything while stll keeping a similar size and shape: added co-axial large missile launchers, these guys provide some real punch while the cannon takes up the slack.
-AI: sensor suite was not quite hooked up right. it's been fixed now
-Added Small missile turret! This covers the ship's 6:00 and sides making a broadside a pretty nasty thing, though the misslies are small, but fire rather fast so it's reserved for close-quaters engagements.

Tipped over in the first five seconds of combat. Spawned another one, that tipped over as well.

I prefer it when my boats stay upright. 0/10

right then i'm stll keeping this thing in as a legacy option, but the latest update is just called the Mainline. it's much better suited to combat and is a pretty good spearhead vessel. less repair capacity and a significantly larger engine

And the "shield system" won't cost any extra, provoided the higher defense since the shields themselves cost some bit crsytal, but making the shield extremely strong has no extra cost.

Ahh, whoops! It should be fixed soon. I'm also working on making the ship a bit faster and improvements on the gun, particularly recoil and fire rate issues.

I just found out that the gun isn't connected to the mainframe. (I solved it by changing the position of a reciever
