Playable Black Empire - N'zoth Pack

Description
LORE:

"I have glimpsed the power that awaits the Elders wether they realize its intent or not. This entity is cut of the Gods' own cloth. It is as they are, a power beyond perception. I cannot judge our fate, but it is assuredly intertwined with the Void that approaches..." -Chosen Warlock

The Chosen Warlock, his power mixed with Psi and Void, could catch brief glimpses of the threats that lurked beyond... And below... Yet, the sights maddened him. He understood what he saw was a god, but he did not know its intent, only its inevitable power.

"Children! The depths are MY domain!" -N'zoth the Corruptor

The Elders' construction of the deep sea temple that would end up becoming their base of operations for the AVATAR Project, had unknowingly shaken something in the depths. Their meddling in the void, combined with the construction of their temple, had awoken an Old God. Deep within the ocean, he awakened. N'zoth gazed upon the Elders from below, and judged them unworthy.

"Through your flesh, my Black Empire is reborn!" -N'zoth the Corruptor

N'zoth did not awaken on his own, but so did his Black Empire of Ny'alotha. Although not yet physically present, its inhabitants have already started to leak into our world, and can materialize through the flesh of N'zoth his enemies.

"Every war waged, every trial overcome, led you here, to me! Only I can save this world!" -N'zoth the Corruptor

You may be asking, why is N'zoth on XCOM's side, when he is just as bad, if not worse, than the Elders? N'zoth is manipulative and cunning, his maddening whispers took advantage of the hope and despair that clouded XCOM, making them believe he is the savior of this world, destined to destroy ADVENT and give humanity TRUE peace.

-----------------------------------------

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

This mod is a three-parter, this part includes:
- N'zoth the Corruptor
- Fury of N'zoth
- Void Lost

-----------------------------------------

HOW TO GET:

How to get N'zoth: N'zoth can be acquired by the "Complete the Circle of Stars" Proving Ground Project, this project will require 500 supplies, 10 sectoid corpses, 10 faceless corpses, and 10 chryssalid corpses.

How to get Fury of N'zoth and Void Lost: These two are both summoned by N'zoth his abilities and cannot be acquired in the Armory.

-----------------------------------------

NOTES:
- One of N'zoth his abilities, Glimpse of Infinity, requires Faceless Pack to work

- Fury of N'zoth has an Unstuck teleport, this is because a 2x2 unit cannot traverse some terrain. Technically you CAN use it whenever, but you're SUPPOSED to only use it if he can't reach something.

- Fury of N'zoth lacks jumping animations, as they never shipped with any, thus they will teleport up and down hills instead, this is just a visual bug, and one I unfortunately cannot fix

- N'zoth is quite big, too big to really fit in the armory, so if you want to level him up or change his character info, you are required to install a debug camera mod so you can move the camera behind him, or he'll block the UI.

- N'zoth is stupidly OP, even in modded campaigns, do not be shocked and flabbergasted by this, as he is a literal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god, already heavily nerfed as his lore-accurate strength would destroy the Elders and corrupt the Earth within the week. I wanted to do justice to his strength, hence why I shipped him with very high stats and crazily strong abilities.

- Because... N'zoth... Talks... Very... Slooooooooow... He might sometimes start talking over himself, if he'll do something like take a reaction shot but hasn't finished talking from the flinch/hit yet

- They do not have the ability to show up in the photobooth on their own, meaning they will softlock the game if you bring them on a mission without a mod to stop automatic photobooths, or bring at least 1 human soldier

- Since it seems to be a popular question, enemy versions of these are kind of planned, but primarily due to me not knowing how to program AI for them, as they have way too many abilities to work with, I can not give an estimate on how long or if I will ever finish enemy variants. Be glad if it happens, but don't expect it to happen soon.

- Don't like their health? Their ability cooldowns? or their damage? You can change them very easily! Just go to the mod folder, Config, and refer to the following two files: XComGameData_CharacterStats, XComNzothPack

@gorgonsmidt if you are having trouble seeing his character info, i recommend the debug camera which i put in the mod requirements for that very reason, using it to move the camera around is the only way to really be able to see the buttons behind N'zoth his enormous size

@gorgonsmidt it should be in there if you started a new campaign with no prerequisites besides building the proving grounds itself, are you sure the mod is enabled before starting the campaign, and you don't have a project for "Complete the Circle of Stars"?

i just started a fresh campaign and built the proving grounds and yet the project doesn't show up is there a prerequisite i am missing

The thought of being able to play with my personal favorite of the Old Gods had gotten me to reinstall the game after spending quite some time away from it all because of browsing the workshop on a whim and seeing this splendid mod. I'm quite a fan of the Black Empire, so even if it's not much, you do have my thanks and appreciation for your work.

@Angel definitely sounds like some form of mod conflict, yeah. Try seeing if it persists on a new campaign with those mods disabled
Angel 20 Jan @ 6:40pm
I managed to fix it by reloading the game. Now i've just ran into the issue of not being able to use any of their abilities/melee. If I had to guess I would think its to do with one of the other mods I have that adds a type of "melee/bash" ability
Gazgemauch  [author] 20 Jan @ 4:57pm
@Angel that sounds very odd, can you describe exactly what's happening? It's not an issue I've encountered myself
Angel 20 Jan @ 4:33pm
So, ive teleported with is ability once. but now, ever since I used that ability. I cant use Nzoth AT ALL. on any missions. any idea?..

Imagine being an average ADVENT soldier. You hear rumors about XCOM doing shady rituals at beaches using blood and sacrifices. Then you're sent to stop an XCOM squad.

They dun' weren't no rumor.
