Description
Rebalance and improvement patch for cityrail's XPT mod. Medium speed intercity passenger train at 160-200km/h (100-125 mph)
! ! IMPORTANT ! !
This mod is a modification to, and continuation of, cityrail's "NSW Trainlink XPT"
To avoid my having to redistribute other people's textures, you must download cityrail's original mod, else the trains will not have any textures. It does not need to be enabled in your save, but it must be subscribed and appear as available in the mod selection panel.
If you are subscribed and the textures still do not appear, ensure it appears as available in the in-game mods panel. If not then unsub and resub to both mods and restart your game to ensure its downloaded.
This mod implements rebalanced costs, tractive effort, and max acceleration for the sets, meaning longer sets will incur acceleration penalties. A re-engined XP power car is provided, using a Cummins QSK50 engine rated at 2200hp (1640kW) and increased top speed, at a higher purchase cost. Carriages now have correct capacity, mass, and cost stats, side textures to improve their visual appearance, and windows reflecting the actual cars' appearance. Carriages are now differentiated between actual types existent on the network, including XAM Sleeper only cars, XL First Class Cars, XBR Partial Buffet Cars, XF Second Class Sitting Cars, and XFH Second Class Sitting and Bagagge Cars. Carriages are also provided with bare metal, and colourable versions.
