Description
"What if you can pick & carry ammo & laser sight along the way like when picking objects in certain custom campaigns?"

This crazy idea suddenly popped up in my mind when I remember some custom campaigns about collecting objects, especially "Resident Evil 1". As now I'm familiar enough with "Think Function", I tried to put a think function on ammo piles & laser sight, and...... It works...!!!

Here are some animated previews:

The simple mechanisms of how this mod works:
  • Press "CTRL (Crouch) + E (USE)" to register ammo piles/ laser sight box as the owner.

  • The registered ammo piles/ laser sight box will automatically stick behind owner's feet.

  • Press "TAB (Score) + SHOVE" & shove any objects to cancel registration. When cancelled, the ammo piles/ laser sight box will stop sticking behind player's feet.

  • Ammo piles/ laser sight box will stop sticking automatically when the owner is incapacitated (automatically unregistered).

So, now, if you see ammo piles or laser sight box, steal them at all costs, even if you have to escape from Whitaker's angry shots :D .

Q: "So, if carrying ammo or laser like this is possible, is it also possible to apply this on other objects or items?"
A: "This mod is specifically only for ammo piles & laser sight. But if it's about the possibility to make similar features on other items, the answer is YES... It's also possible to make survivor move weapon spawn spots from one place to another with this method. Or if you want to move cars, forklifts etc too, it's also possible with this method hehehe. But I'll give other modders a chance to make that first. This mod might give them some inspirations & ideas by using similar methods."

NOTES:
  • A video preview will be added later.

@Miku , I know how you feel, more or less. Even on most of my script mods, I received less to no feedbacks or any bug reports, so most of the time I found them myself while playing with the script mods, & then fixed the bug myself. Afaik, most people here love simple script mods that slightly modify the game while still maintaining the original sensations of playing the game, like slight improvements on SI, tank, witch, slight changes on environments, etc. As for me, I made mods simply based on some crazy ideas that suddenly came during play, so most of them might not suit the taste of most people here. But I still made the mods anyway, as I also need to use them to enjoy the game in my own way.
So, you can also try that. Ignore whether the mods get popular or not. Just make them anyway. I'm sure that there are still people out there who'll find your mods cool & fun, just like how you made the cool modification on weapon spawn on that video before.
Thank you very much for your advice. I’ve been thinking about this as well, but I really want to focus on people who genuinely want to use my scripts and contribute feedback. Unfortunately, many users in my group don’t engage meaningfully. While I frequently upload scripts for them to use, I almost never receive constructive feedback. Instead, I often get irrelevant responses like requests for gun mods, character mods, or unrelated comments. It feels like most members are just waiting for someone else to test the scripts and report any errors.

This lack of engagement sometimes discourages me from uploading new content. However, I want to acknowledge that most of the scripts I’ve used from you work exceptionally well. Once again, thank you for your advice, and I hope you continue to create innovative ideas that benefit the community,"Kurochama" !

@Miku , actually that's a good idea. I'll try to make them drop on the ground on the next update. Btw your modification on your video for all weapon spawns is also cool. You can also upload it on workshop if you want, as probably people will also love to have such feature to carry weapon spawns anywhere.
Wow,Good idea. But I have a suggestion: can you drop it when the player is not carrying it? When not carrying it, it floats up high and looks quite strange. This is my modification based on your idea and some improve further, hope you will come up with more good ideas, I love them.
