Parogenic is a label mostly applied to alters who are formed via free will. This may be achieved through meditative, spiritual, or ritualistic means. Alternatively, alters formed this way can be referred to as "Parogens" or "Thoughtforms"

As a system origin, it can be seen as an alternate label to "Tulpagenic" in spaces where said controversial name may cause discomfort. It is up to individual systems to determine which label they would prefer.

System origin is both a topic of controversy and pride for many systems as it can be a way to identify with and heal alongside others like them.
