Viperel's Recycling Center B42

Description
Are you in search of realistic recycling options and quality-of-life recipes? Look no further than Viperel's Recycling Center!

TLDR version: Rip all underwear, leather items, empty cans, mix paint, colour lightbulbs and craft many useful things.

The recipes are designed to be realistic and make use of the materials available in the vanilla game. The goal is to provide an all-in-one recycling solution that offers a logical distribution of materials and EXP (with more recipes being added over time).

The MOD is split into 3 separate parts:
  • RecyclingCenter - This section covers all dismantling recipes (excluding vehicles parts)
  • Recycle_QoL - This contains Quality of Life recipes that should be in vanilla
Recycle_Vehicles - disabled for now, use the mod VEHICLE SALVAGE OVERHAUL

Metalworking:
  • Scrapping Aluminium cans will give Aluminium fragments (vanilla item soon to be used)
  • Craft padlocks and combination padlocks for MP security
  • Dismantle metal containers & cases

Survival:
  • Craft QoL items such as Tea Bags, Mops, Glue, Soap, Matches, Candles
  • Mix and make paints, color light bulbs or clean them off.
  • Jars of food will last 10 months in fresh state (compared to 2 vanilla) for realism, just don't forget to cook them.

Tailoring:
  • Turn Underwear and Shoes/Sneakers/Boots/Leather items into their respective materials for Tailoring EXP and Strength (there is a chance of receiving Thread)

No compatibility issues with other mods as of B42.0.8! Can be added to an existing save safely!
(It is recommended to keep only one recycling mod as similar recipes might overlap but will not break anything)

Mods i recommend:

Mod ID: VPR_RecyclingCenterB42
Mod ID: VPR_Recycle_QoL_B42

Sorry if this has been asked, but do you know if this mod is compatible with other clothing mods, namely Authentic Z? I'm wondering if clothes have like a tag or something that would classify them as a clothing item, and therefore be affected by your mod etc. If not, I'm definitely not asking for compatibility patches, just curious! :)

@ctiberious Removed it in latest update as the vanilla implementation makes more sense in B42

I'm not sure when it was added, but Vanilla has "Scrap Gold/Silver Jewelry" which requires 20 "TinyGoldScrap" or 20 "TinySilverScrap" items to create 1 gold or silver scrap. This mod, however, adds "Dismantle Gold/Silver Accessory" which does it at a 1:1. Not sure if this mod was trying to adjust that vanilla recipe or not, but seems like getting 1:1 gold or silver from jewelry is a bit excessive.

@Red Rocket.TTV yes; I was just about to write about this bug/feature when I saw your comment. =)

As of right now, recycling a pop or tin can adds Aluminum fragments to the inventory, but doesn't remove the original item, allowing the player to produce an infinite amount of Aluminum fragments - and earn XP for certain traits/skills - this way.

Maybe smelt more things in the Furnace!

Nevermind. Finally found a mod which does that (Common Sense).

Hey, I have a stupid question: does this also let you disassemble the garbage clutter "furniture" like you can find, say, in basements?

'Cause for instance I found a piece of garbage which is just straight-up an empty can which lies on the floor....with no apparent way to actually *get* the empty can to do empty can things (read: hoard water) with it.

Even if not, this still sounds like a great mod because everything this mods lets you do is something I would have expected to be able to do already.

@oxtailsafu Most likely yes, will remove what's redundant. I'm glad they are integrated in vanilla

Looks like B42.4 added an official way to scrap jewalery, are there plans to remove that in the recycling center mod?
