Improving Sonic Adventure 2 with EASY Modding [GUIDE]

A very simplistic guideline to ensure you can enjoy a much more smooth experience playing Sonic Adventure 2 on Steam by downloading a series of mods and the SA Mod Loader. Tested on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Installation of the Game
To begin, please ensure you have installed a fresh copy of the game and launched it to the main menu at least once. Afterwards, you may close out and begin the steps listed in this guide.
Installation of the Mod Loader
Step 1: Download and Install the SA Mod Loader.

Downloading and Installing the Mods
Step 2: Once completed, go to each of these links and select the option to install using the Mod Loader.

Once the above mods are all installed and show up in your mods section, ensure they are all enabled.
Enabling "Quality of Life" Settings
Step 3: Go into the cheats tab within the SA Mod Loader and enable the following:
- All Emeralds Trackable in Treasure Hunt
- Disable Loading Tips
- Disable Omochao
- Reduce Spin Dash Delay
- Press B to Somersault

Select "Save" in the bottom to keep the cheats enabled for your play sessions.
Assigning your Graphical Settings
Step 4: Ensure you set your game's resolution properly based on your monitor and refresh rate.

Goto the Game Config tab within the SA Mod Manager and from there, you can adjust which display you want to play the game on, the screen mode (I'd recommend Borderless Fullscreen) and the render resolution which should be the size of your monitor or however you would like to play the game.

Ensure the Refresh Rate is set to 60.

After making these changes, you can click Save in the bottom.
The Final Step
Step 5: Enjoy a much improved Sonic Adventure 2 experience!

That wasn't so bad, was it?
Now go jam out to Crush 40 and raise some Chao!

If you followed everything in this guide, you are now free to click "Save & Play" and launch your much improved Sonic Adventure 2.

I've got the fantastic better SADX mod installed already. If I download this one, will they come into conflict with each other?
I'm mostly interested in the volume control option, anyway.

@Kalos, I don't have a steam deck yet to test myself, but there are some youtube tutorials that should get this to work!

Hey thanks for the tutorial but does samodmanager work on the steam deck? it says I need to install a windows runtime, and when I do it still doesn't open. Any help would be appreciated!
