Federation Comms Buoy - Subspace Amplifier | Class 6c Relay

As Starfleet pushed ever outward into the vastness of space, and the influence of the Federation grew, faster-than-light communications became more and more neccessary. To ensure all Federation Worlds were able to constantly have near-instantaneous communications with the rest of the quadrant, Starfleet maintained an expansive network of deep space comm buoys.
