The 3000 series is a type of EMUs for the Madrid Metro built by CAF, using various materials from Siemens and Bombardier, during 2006 and which serve lines 2, 3, 4, 5 and R. The 3000 series consists of narrow-body cars in standard gauge that have a modern design, based on the wide-gauge 8000 series, with several latest-generation technological improvements.
