I'd assume so, since this is just a texture replacement for vanilla ships.

No, it just changes the background textures to remove them from the ship, as in vanilla, they were part of the same sprite.

is it mod to fully destroy background walls?

I'll probably try my hand at some ship mods that don't have clear backgrounds later. like the Avali.
